This is a worm. Worm was crawling on the side walk away from the water towards the street. I think to pick worm up and deliver him to safety but I don't. Water is not safety. Street is not safety. Sidewalk is not safety. I could bring worm to my garden, but the magpies visit there often. I decide I don't know what sort of safety this one needs right now. Worm has made it this far, fat and bold, might as well let worm be.
